R-100-91 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK FUNDS FROM THE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT CONTINGENCY FUND TO THE <br />COLTON MUSEUM PROJECT. <br />WHEREAS, the museum building, located at 380 North La Cadena <br />Drive, has been designated as a historic landmark in the City; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the building will serve as the first cultural and <br />historical museum in the City, benefiting the Community 'and' <br />functioning to enhance the City's historic and preservation) <br />efforts; and <br />I <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has entered <br />into an agreement with the Colton Museum Association that <br />provides for the renovation of the museum building at 380 North <br />La Cadena Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined a need to fund <br />improvements at the museum, a previously funded project through <br />the Community Development Block Grant Program; and <br />WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant funds are'' <br />available in the Grant Contingency Fund; and <br />WHEREAS, the City must inform the County as to the request <br />},. trylgfe7 fnn,lc from. -th.P community DevPJ.orm-nt Ftlo-,k Grant <br />Contingency Fund to fund the Colton Library Museum improvements. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the <br />City of Colton transfers Community Development Block Grant funds' <br />in the following manner: <br />1. Urban Beautification (transfer from) $20,000.00 <br />(Contingency Fund) <br />2. Museum Renovations (transfer to) $20,000.00 <br />
