R-06-96 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON APPROVING A CERTAIN DISPOSITION <br />AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AND COLTON COTTAGES I, PERTAINING TO THE <br />DEVELOPMENT OF A LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME <br />HOUSING PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton, California (the "City" ) is <br />a municipal corporation and a charter city duly created and <br />existing pursuant to the Constitution and the laws of the State <br />of California; and <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency for the City of <br />Colton (the "Agency"), is a redevelopment agency, a public body, <br />corporate and politic of the State of California, organized and <br />existing pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law (Part 1 of <br />Division 24) commencing with Section 33000 of the Health and <br />Safety Code of the State of California (the "Act" ); and <br />WHEREAS, the Agency has previously caused the adoption <br />of various Redevelopment Plans for portions of the City, <br />including but not limited to the Mt. Vernon Corridor <br />Redevelopment Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Plan provides for the <br />redevelopment of real property pursuant to the Redevelopment Plan <br />both within and outside of the redevelopment project area which <br />is subject to the Redevelopment Plan (the "Project Area") by <br />owners thereof or by parties seeking to acquire real property <br />from the Agency; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 33391 of the Act provides that a <br />; redevelopment agency may acquire any interest in real or personal <br />- 1 - <br />
