RESOLUTION NO. 2689 <br /> 1 RESOLUTION OF TIE CITY COIL Or THE CITY <br /> OF COLTON DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER <br /> 2 THE ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF WASHII+ TON <br /> AVENUE IN THE CITY OF COLTON. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Colton as <br /> 5 follows: <br /> 6 Section 1. That the City Council of Colton does hereby declare its <br /> 7 intention to order the abandonment of that portion of Washington Avenue as shown <br /> 8 on the Map of Rancho San Bernardino, Block 64, Lots 2 and 3 as recorded in Book 7 <br /> 9 of Taps, Page 2, Records of San Bernardino County, State of California, described <br /> 10 as follows: <br /> 11 All of that portion of said Washington Avenue within the corporate <br /> 12 Limits of the City of Colton lying Northerly of the center line of <br /> 13 said Washington Avenue, 82.5 feet in width, said center line also <br /> 14 being the corporate limits of the City of Colton and Easterly of the <br /> 15 corporate limits of the City of Colton as said corporate limits leave <br /> 16 said center line of Washington Avenue Southerly, and Southerly of the <br /> 17 Northerly line of said Washington Avenue between the East right of <br /> 18 way line of the Riverside Freeway and the West line of Washington <br /> 19 Avenue (relocated). <br /> 20 For further particulars as to the proposed abandonment reference is <br /> 21 hereby made to the map on file in the Office of the City Clerk of Colton, <br /> 22 California. <br /> 23 Section 2. That the hour of 7:30 p.m. on the 5th day of ally, 1966, <br /> 24 in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Colton, California be and the sans is <br /> 25 hereby fixed as the tine and place when and where all persons interested in or <br /> 26 objecting to the proposed abandonment may appear before the City Council. <br /> 27 Section 3. That Daniel H. Burnett, Jr., City Engineer of the City of <br /> 28 Colton, is hereby directed to cause 'Notice of Street Vacations to be posted <br /> 29 as required by law. <br /> 30 Section 4.
