CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 16,1996 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor & City Council <br />APPROVAL: Nabar Enrique Martinez, City ManageO <br />FROM: Gracie Fernfindez Harmon, Personnel Director <br />SUBJECT: Claim Against the City Submitted by Julia Macias and Antonio Mendez: <br />Recommend Denial <br />DATE: July 8,1996 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In accordance with the procedures adopted to insure proper and efficient handling of Liability Claims <br />against the City of Colton, the attached reports have been received from the City's Liability Claims <br />Administrator. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSTS: <br />Claimants have each filed a claim against the City. Evaluation of the claims reflects that this case <br />would be highly questionable or no liability on the part of the City of Colton. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Not applicable. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the above -listed claims be denied to commence the Statute of Limitations. <br />GFH:amv <br />59 <br />Item No. II <br />
