CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For the Council Meeting of July 2, 1996 <br />To: Honorable Mayor & City Council <br />Approval: Nabar E. Martinez, City Manager <br />From: Randy Anstine, Neighborhood Services Directc <br />Subject: Ratification of Employee Appointment to the Temporary, Part -Time <br />Positions of Pool Cashier (2) and Lifeguard (7) in the <br />Neighborhood Services Department. <br />Date: June 26, 1996 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Seven (7) vacant seasonal lifeguard positions as well as two (2) pool cashier positions <br />exist in the Neighborhood Services Department. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Recruitment and the oral examination for said positions was conducted in June, 1996. <br />The candidates being referred to Council for ratification meet the education and <br />experience requirements as specified in the job descriptions. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />These positions are funded in the General Fund of the <br />accounts 01-8019-04 - salary and 01-8019-10 - benefits. <br />r <br />Randy Anstin irector <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />Fiscal Year 1996-97 budget, <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />Failure to ratify these positions would require that the swimming pool be closed. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council ratify the employee appointments for the <br />seasonal positions of lifeguards and pool cashiers. <br />Attachment: Job Description <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />ITEM 22 <br />
