Gabriel, Economic Development Directorl�� <br />SUBJECT: Consideration and Adoption of a Resolution of the City <br />Council for the City of Colton Designating a City Consultant <br />as the Authorized City Representative to Examine Sales and <br />Use Tax Records <br />TE: May 28, 1996 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On April 16, 1996, the City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board approved <br />entering into a Consultant Services Agreement with Municipal Resource <br />Consultants (MRC) to provide Sales and Use Tax Audit and Reporting Services. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Sales and use tax information is confidential. In order for MRC to examine sales <br />and use tax records for the City of Colton, the Colton City Council must approve a <br />Resolution designating MRC as an authorized representative. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve the attached Resolution designating Municipal Resource Consultants as <br />the city representative to examine Sales and Use Tax records. <br />^ Report prepared by: Candace E.
