Bennett �� "I, <br />Subject: better of Support to the State Legislature Regarding Proposal to Add <br />$25 Million for "Business Expansion" <br />As a formal request to this City Council I am asking for your concurrence to send a letter of <br />support to the State Legislature. The letter of support would emphasize the following: <br />• Job Creation is the key to success of the massive welfare reform challenge; <br />Support funding for "Business Expansion" to be funded by the proposed $25 million <br />Job Creation Investment Fund; and <br />• Tell how this proposal would impact the City of Colton's ability to create jobs. <br />This letter would be sent to the Legislature'sJoint Budget Conference Committee: <br />• Senate Co -Chair: Mike Thompson, Santa Rosa, CA FX: (916) 323-6958 <br />• Senate Member Cathie Wright, Simi Valley FX: (916) 324-7544 <br />• Assembly Co -Chair: Denise` Moreno Ducheny, San Diego FX: (916) 322-2271 <br />• Assembly Member: Gary Miller, City of Industry FX: (916) 322-6449 <br />Thank you for your consideration and support to send this letter to the State Legislature. <br />DS:adf <br />Item No. 25 <br />
