CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF April 20,1999 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor & City Council <br />APPROVAL: Henry Garcia, City Manage <br />FROM: Dennis Morris, Human Resource Director <br />SUBJECT: Claims Against the City Submitted by: Arthur Calles, Northern National <br />Inc., and Judie Garcia- Recommend Denial <br />DATE: April 8,1999 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In accordance with the procedures adopted to insure proper and efficient handling of Liability <br />Claims against the City of Colton, the attached report has been received from the City's Liability <br />Claims Administrator. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Claimants have fired a claim against the City. Evaluation of these claims reflect that these cases <br />would be highly questionable or no liability on the part of the City of Colton. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Not applicable. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the above -listed claims be denied to commence the Statute of Limitations. <br />PREPARED BY: <br />Vicki Porter <br />Item # 3 <br />
