SORK, FIRE MARSHAL 4e <br />SUBJECT: - Public Hearing to adopt a report and statement of expenses for the <br />Weed Abatement Program and to consider imposing a lien upon <br />property for payment thereof <br />TE: July 21, 1999 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />During the Regular Meeting of March 16, 1999, the City Council approved Resolution <br />Number R-25-99 declaring weeds, rubbish and refuse a Public Nuisance and subject to <br />abatement in accordance with the City's adopted standards. <br />Additionally, the Resolution authorized the Fire Chief to approve a contractor to perform the <br />abatement, to charge an administrative fee, and to place all Contractors' fees plus <br />administrative fees on the San Bernardino County Tax Rolls for collection. <br />DISCUSSION <br />At this time, abatement has been completed and staff has prepared a written Report of Costs <br />on those completed parcels for which payment had not been received prior to August 17, <br />1999. <br />Page I of 2 <br />Item #2 <br />
