Garcia, City Manager �CT , <br />FROM: Patrick C e, Chief of Police <br />SUBJECT: Closure of "E" Street between La Cadena Drive and 9t' Street for <br />City of Colton Police Department's Annual Opera House Saturday, <br />May 20th 2000, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. <br />DATE: March 30, 2000 . <br />BACKGROUND: The City of Colton Police Department will hold its annual Open <br />House on Saturday, May 20th 2000, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the police <br />department. Planned activities include static displays, bicycle rodeo, baseball throw, <br />activities, and demonstrations. To accommodate these activities and expected turnout <br />of citizens, the area of "`E" Street just south of the Police Department would provide the <br />required additional space. The few area residents affected would be given notice prior <br />to the temporary closure. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None <br />Patrick G. CVowe, Chief of Police <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: None <br />.CUSTOMER -SERVICE IMPACT: The Police Department is the obvious choice for this <br />event and it is accessible and recognizable to area residents. The event will include <br />demonstrations, activities and displays.
