Item #5 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF August 20.2002 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />fzC <br />FROM: Ron Kenny — Director of Parks, Recreation & Family Services <br />SUBJECT: Reservation Request for Fleming Park— Inland Christian Center <br />DATE: August 6, 2002 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Inland Christian Center has submitted a facility reservation request for the use of Fleming <br />Park on Saturday, September 14, 2002. Their listed intention for use is to present a <br />community outreach, with music and a food giveaway. A copy of their facility use application, <br />as well as a supplemental letter from the organization has been provided. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Fleming Park presents a high-prolile, centralized location to reach the community as a whole, <br />and the event has the potential to positively impact the community. The organization is based <br />in Colton, and the estimated attendance for this event is approximately 150 people.
