FRASER, DIRECTOR OF WATER & WASTEWATER OPERATIONS <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF FUTURE ANNEXATION AGREEMENT FOR 105 CYPRESS <br />ASSOCIATION, LLC, FOR CONNECTION TO THE CITY'S SEWER SYSTEM <br />DATE: July 22, 2002 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Council has indicated that in order to supply water or sewer service to an unincorporated area, <br />the property owner must agree to future annexation of the property into the City. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS <br />Attached is an Agreement for Future Annexation of the three property parcels located at 105 <br />Cypress Avenue, which is located in the County of San Bernardino's jurisdiction. The <br />Agreement is a condition for allowing the property owner to connect to the City's sewer system. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Would be counteractive to the Council's intent. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The sewer connection fees will be paid upon permit approval for connection to the City's sewer <br />system. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Colton Utility Authority approve the Agreement for Future <br />Annexation of the three property parcels located at 105 Cypress Avenue and authorize the <br />recordation of same. <br />Attachments: Agreement for Future Annexation <br />Grant Deed w/Exhibit A <br />KEVLEW'.TEAM ONLY y, <br />City Attorney: . �-w-- Finance Director: Itlf i b.401, <br />City Manager: Q OTHER: _ <br />Page 1 of 1 (w/Attachments) <br />
