Item #15
CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF July 2, 2002
TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council
FROM: Electric Utility Department
SUBJECT: First Amendment to Professional Services Agreement with ECOS
Consulting, Inc.
DATE: July 2, 2002
BACKGROUND:
On October 2, 2001, the City Council and ECOS Consulting, Inc. ("Consultant") entered
into a professional services agreement ("Agreement") for professional energy efficiency
consulting services for the City's Residential Compact Fluorescent Light Rebate Program.
The Consultant experienced certain delays and was therefore unable to begin work on the
project until early June, 2002. The term of the agreement expired on June 30, 2002. Staff
is requesting that the City Council amend the Agreement to extend the expiration date for
an additional six months, until December 31, 2002.
DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:
The only proposed revision is that the term of the agreement be extended six months, to
expire on December 31, 2002. There are no changes to the amount of compensation or
any other provisions of the Agreement.
ALTERNATIVES:
Deny approval of the First Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with
ECOS Consulting, Inc.
Take no action.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
No financial impact. The compensation amount of the Agreement, as originally approved
by Council on October 2, 2001, remains unchanged at $49,750.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
RVPUB\ELC\634552 _1
