CITY OF COLTON Item #11 <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF June 4, 2002 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />ZK- <br />FROM: Ron Kenny, Director of Parks, Recreation & Family Services <br />SUBJECT: Use of Fleming Park & Band shell, by the City of Colton Parks, <br />Recreation and Family Services Department for our Annual Summer <br />Concert Series to be held on Sundays beginning July 21, 2002 to August <br />25, 2002 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. <br />DATE: May 28, 2002 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City of Colton's Parks, Recreation and Family Services Department annually sponsors the annual <br />Summer Concert Series. The event provides a safe and comfortable environment for the residents in our <br />community as they enjoy various types of music on those warm summer nights. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Fleming Park is an ideal setting for this event. It is located in the center of town making it accessible for all <br />residents of our community. The event provides entertainment and a chance for people to meet their friends <br />and enjoy the evening together.
