Item #13 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 15, 2003 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Tom Hendrix, Fire Chief , - ti. <br />SUBJECT: Set for Public Hearing, for the meeting of August 5, 2003, a <br />Resolution pertaining to weed abatement and the placement <br />of parcels on the County Property Assessment Tax Rolls <br />DATE: July 7, 2003 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City's Spring Weed Abatement Program is nearing completion. Approximately 120 parcels <br />were abated during the Spring Program and approximately 16 were abated during the Fall 2002 <br />Program. <br />DISC USSIONIANALYSIS: <br />Prior to placement on the County Tax Rolls, a Public Hearing is required to consider the Report <br />of Costs and to hear any objections from property owners liable to be assessed for the <br />abatement. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the setting of the Public Hearing for the meeting of August 5, 2003, a <br />Resolution to adopt a Report of Costs and placing those costs on the County Tax Rolls for <br />payment thereof. <br />Report Prepared By Alan Sork, Fire Marshal <br />REVIEW TEA ONLY <br />City Attorney: Finance Director: <br />City Manager: OTHER: <br />
