282 COUNCIL MEETING February 1, 1983 A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon pre- siding. Mayor Huntoon led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer. ROLL CALL: Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor Huntoon. Also present were City Manager Elliott, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. CONSENT CALENDAR: Minutes January 18, 1983 Warrants 25680 through 25937 107646 through 107863 January 27, 1983 inclusive Agreements Pacific Telephone/Public Phone at City Hall. Bids Bids Award, Transformers to McGraw -Edison for 333 KVA and to WESCO for 500 KVA. Award, Streetlight Fixtures to CED for fixtures and replacement lenses and to General Electric Supply for lamps and photoelectric controls. Bids Authorization to Advertise for Open Bids for the Repair of the Walnut Reservoirs. Notice of Completion Accept and authorize recording of City Project No. 82-10, Renovation of Well #7. Permits Buena Vista Cable T.V., request for Encroachment. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: Appointments Parks and Recreation Commission Mayor Huntoon reported that two members of the Parks & Recreation Commission have terms expriing January 1983, and they are Mrs. Mary Chavez, who has served 1 three year term, and Mrs. Ann Blinkinsop, who has served 3 three-year terms. Mayor Huntoon stated Mrs. Chavez has expressed a desire to be reappointed and Mrs. Blinkinsop has served three consecutive terms, therefore, a new appointment is now in order. Mayor Huntoon called for nominations. Councilwoman Cisneros submitted the name of Mr. Robert Carrasco for nomination. Councilman Rehrer submitted the name of Mrs. Mary Chavez for reappointment. Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to close nominations. Unanimous vote. Mayor Huntoon directed the Clerk to cast a unanimous ballot for Mr. Robert Carrasco and Mrs. Mary Chavez.
