10 <br />Mayor Huntoon called for the vote. The motion carried. Councilwoman <br />Garcia voting NO. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Closed Session <br />City Manager Elliott stated he would like a Closed Session to discuss <br />Meet and Confer matters following Oral Communications. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mr. John Zane, 1321 North 9th Street, Colton, addressed the City <br />Council regarding bringing the old fashion light standards along <br />La Cadena Drive up to standard. Mr. Zane stated most of the lights <br />need to have bulbs and lamps covers replaced. <br />Mr. Elliott stated the City is aware of the problem and is looking into <br />whether these old fashion light standards should be replaced by the <br />more efficient low sodium mercury fixtures. Mr. Elliott said the lamp <br />cover is becoming more expense as they are not readily available. <br />Mr. Jessie Valdivia of San Bernardino, addressed the Council with <br />regard to broken beer bottles and glass in the Parks. Mr. Valdivia <br />cited a case of a little boy who was injured when he fall on a broken <br />beer bottle, while riding his tricycle at Municipal Park. <br />City Manager Elliott asked to meet with Mr. Valdivia at his con— <br />venience stating he would be happy to discuss with him what the City is <br />doing and listen to Mr. Valdivia suggestions. <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />Meet and Confer <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 8:04 p.m. to discuss <br />Meet and Confer matters. The Council reconvened at 8:30 p.m., all <br />members present. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios and <br />unanimously passed, Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting at 8:31 p.m. <br />HELEN A.
