BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON: WHEREAS,, on the 2nd day of May, 1961, the Council of the City of 611 1� Colton did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2158 giving Notice of the proposal 1 to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Colton, said territory b it being therein designated as "East Colton Annexation No. 10" said Resolution 91, Idescribing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and I 10, .1 WHEREAS_ said Resolution No. 2158 did contain a notice of the day, l 1 hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests 12! � made by any persoA owning real property within the territory proposed to be 13 annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than 1-14 ' sixty days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and 5 ,1 1 1 WHEREAS,., on the 20th day of June at the hour of 7:30 p. m. in the 16 Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Colton, County of San Bernar- 17 lb i dino. State of California,, said time and place being the day, hour and place llfixed in said Resolution No,. 2158 for hearing protests made to the proposed 19 annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners 20 ; of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed 21 as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of one - 22 half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as 23 determined by said legislative body; and 24 W]EiEREASt said territory is contiguous to the City of Colton and is ?5 uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino; 26!
