1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />111 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />161 <br />171 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />29 <br />30 <br />31 <br />32 <br />ORDINANCE NO,, 1 181 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLT ONOCALIFORNIA <br />REQUIRING THE SUBMISSION OF PLANS FOR PUBLIC <br />WORKS IMPROVEMENTS AND ESTABLISHING A PLAN <br />FOR CHECKING FEE FOR THE REVIEW AND APPROVAL <br />OF SAID PLANS,* <br />The City Council of the City of Colton does ordain as follows: <br />Section 1.- Any person;, firm or corporation desiring or required to <br />construct any public works improvement, including curbs. gutters, sidewalks,, <br />culverts, drains, driveway approaches,, grading, paving, water lines, sewers, <br />or any appurtenant work thereto in a dedicated City right-of-way, shall submit <br />engineering plans for said improvements; said plans to be prepared by a <br />registered Civil Engineer of the State of California,, Where said plans are <br />prepared by the office of the City Engineer, a charge of 7% of the estimated <br />construction cost shall be assessed for said work. <br />Section 2: The City Engineer shall thoroughly check said plans, require <br />all necessary amendments and alterations, estimate total construction cost of <br />the improvements and shall indicate approval of the plans when completed. <br />Section 3: Plans that are ,made, as required by or in conjunction with <br />any Subdivision Map, Record of Survey, Conditional Use Permit or Lot Split <br />proceedings shall be subject to a plan checking fee for the services specified <br />in Section 2 of this ordinance., based on the following schedule: <br />$25,, 00 plus $0. 50 per lot. Approval by the City Engineer shall be con- <br />tingent upon receipt of the plan checking fee above specified„ Where plans <br />are prepared by the office of the City Engineer, the plan checking fee shall be <br />included in the 7% fee provided in Section 1 hereof,. The City Engineer shall <br />not prepare plans filed in conjunction with Subdivision Map proceedings. <br />Section 4: In the event the City Council or Planning Commission or <br />any authorized agency of the City of Colton alter or require alteration or re- <br />submission of plans previously checked by the City Engineer, no additional <br />plan checking fee shall be required„ <br />Section 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance <br />and cause it to be published once in the Colton Courier. This ordinance shall <br />become effective on the 30th day after the date of its adoption,. <br />
