1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />8 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 'I <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />zi <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />26 <br />28 <br />27 <br />28 <br />29 <br />SO <br />31 <br />32 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1229 <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Government through the Engineer's Corp <br />of the War Department of the United States Government is now <br />actively engaged in the preparation in the plans and specification; <br />for the project known as the Lytle -Cajon Creek Channel Improvement, <br />Santa Ana River Basin, California, which was authorized by the <br />Federal Flood Control Act approved on the 22nd day of December, <br />1944, and which project cottemplate s the construction of a system <br />of bank protection consisting of dykes and levees upstream from <br />Foothill Blvd. in the County of San Bernardino, State of California <br />and the construction of a reinforced concrete channel commencing <br />at a point approximately 600 feet north of the said Foothill Blvd, <br />and extending to the outlet in 'Yarm Creek Channel in said County <br />and that a general contract will be let by the aforementioned <br />engineers on or about June 14, 1945 for the first unit consisting <br />of the concrete channel of said project and other contractor will <br />be let by said engineers shortly therer for the 're.rxder of <br />the said project; and, <br />WHEREAS, in order to obtain the approval of the aforementioned <br />project, it was necessary that the San Bernardino County Flood <br />Control District of the aforementioned County agree and the said <br />district did agree to be responsible for the actual accomplishment <br />and for the financing of any changes, modifications or relocations <br />of public utility facilities both as they exist and as they may be <br />temporaf ily installed in order that they not impede the work of the <br />contractors mentioned hereinbefore during the aforesaid constructio <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, many conferences have been had between the various <br />federal and county officials of the organizations mentioned herein- <br />before with various officials of the City of Colton, and as a resul <br />of said conferences, an agreem6nt was reached in reference to the <br />share of the aforementioned work to be performed by the <br />
