I RESOLUTION NO. 3670 l` RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 2 COLTON DECLARING WEEDS GROWING UPON THE STREETS OR SIDEWALKS OR UPON PRIVATE PROPERTY AND RUBBISH, 3 REFUSE OR DIRT UPON PARKWAYS, SIDEWALKS OR PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF COLTON'TO BE A PUBLIC 4 NUISANCE AND PROVIDING FOR THE ABATEMENT THEREFOR IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 39501, 39561, 39561.5, 5 39562, 39563, 39567.1, ALSO 39568-39586 CHAPTER 13, ARTICLE 3 TITLE A, DIVISION 3 OF THE GOVERNMENT 6 CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. 7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has been informed 8 that there are growing upon the streets and sidewalks and private property 9 within said City many weeds which have seeds of a wingy or downy nature or 10 have attained such growth as to become a fire menace or which are otherwise 11 noxious or dangerous and there is also existing on certain parkways, sidewalks 12 and property within the City certain rubbish, refuse and dirt including dry 3.3 grass, stubble, brush, litter or other flammable material which endangers the 14 public safety by creating a fire hazard, and 15 WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that same should be 16 declared a public nuisance and should be abated in accordance with provisions 17 ! of the Weed Abatement Law (Chapter 13, Title 4, Division 3, Government Code and 18 amendments thereto) of the State of California, and 19 WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent has prepared a report properly p Y 20 describing the property upon which the condition exists, 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City 22 of Colton as follows: 23 1. That the City Council does hereby find, determine and declare 24 that there are.growing`upon the streets and sidewalks and 'private property 25 within; said city many weeds which have seeds of a downy nature or have attained - 2 6 such growth as to become a fire menace or which are otherwise noxious or 27 dangerous and that there is also existing on certain parkways, sidewalks, 28 land property within the City certain rubbish, refuse and dirt including dry � II 1
