R-11-04 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON APPROVING A COMMUNITY SPORTS FACILITY <br />ADVERTISING SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM FOR COLTON <br />PONY BASEBALL AT CESAR CHAVEZ PARK <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton wishes to encourage the placement of <br />advertising in City parks and community sports facilities in accordance with a <br />community sports facility sponsorship program in order to provide a financial <br />mechanism to support community sports activities and encourage civic pride; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, community sports facility sponsorship programs are <br />authorized by Section 12.24.141 and Chapter 18.50 of the Colton Municipal <br />Code; and <br />WHEREAS, approval of a community sports facility sponsorship <br />program for Colton Pony Baseball at Cesar Chavez Park is appropriate and <br />is not contrary to the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City of <br />Colton or properties surrounding Cesar Chavez Park. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON: <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Colton hereby approves the <br />community sports facility sponsorship program advertising signs described on <br />the attached Exhibit "A" for Colton Pony Baseball at Cesar Chavez Park, <br />located at the corner of Mt.
