CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of APRIL 18, 1989 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: JENNIFER THORNBERRY, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: JOINT REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT AT Date: <br />HUNTS LANE AND SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD CROSSING WITH COLTON/SAN <br />BERNARDINO <br />As Council is aware, the Redevelopment Agencies for the Cities of Colton and <br />San Bernardino are involved in a joint construction project to upgrade Hunts <br />Lane. All of the work has been completed except the widening of and upgrade <br />to the Southern Pacific Railroad Crossing on Hunts Lane. <br />DT_ qr1 JqS T()N <br />Attached is a lease document by Southern Pacific Railroad granting the Cities <br />of Colton and San Bernardino the right to construct a drainage facility required <br />for the widening of the railroad crossing. The City of San Bernardino has <br />approved the document and they are now requesting approval from Colton. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recomnends that the Council adopt the following resolution, by title as <br />follows: <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE AND EXECUTION <br />OF AN INDENTURE WITH THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF A DRAINAGE FACILITY AND APPURTENANT FACILITIES CONCERNING <br />PROPERTY LOCATED ON HUNTS LANE, SOUTH OF REDLANDS COULEVARD. <br />JT/bjw <br />City Manager's Concurrence: <br />Attachments: <br />Resolution <br />p ,pg f Document Item No. �'' <br />
