Cram �f <br />CITY OF COLTON , <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of AUGUST 1, 1989 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: JENNIFER THORNBERRY, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR <br />SUB <br />JECT: AWARD OF BID - COLTON MUSELIM RENOVATIONS - FINAL PIiASEDate e <br />JULY 20, <br />On June l and 8, 1989, the Administrative Services Department advertised for <br />to complete renovations to the Colton Museum located at 380 North La Cadena Drive. <br />Bid opening was held at 2:00 p.m. on July 17, 1989. Present at the bid opening <br />was Ken Peterson, General Services Manager, Brian Oul.mn, Associate Planner, and <br />Dave Taylor, Project Administrator. <br />We received two bids from contractors on the project. Please refer to the attached <br />bid summary sheet. <br />The low bid was from Young Contractors located in Rancho Cucamon Ca,. The <br />is 9a bid <br />$340,0'00 which is 100 <br />$ ,000 over ourro ect bud <br />P J get. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends rejection of the bids. Staff additionally recommends that staff <br />direct the 'project architect or qualified-construction management film to develop <br />cost estimates and to'priortize the work which can be completed within our <br />existing budget.
