Hutton, Director of Public Works <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Tri County to Repair Street Pump in Date: November 27, 1990 <br />the Amount of $5,800 for the "C" Street Underpass, <br />Ureencv Matter <br />RAr.KrRr1 TM e <br />The City of Colton Public Works Department is responsible for the street pumps located <br />at the "C" Street, "N" Street and La Cadena Drive underpasses. These pumps pump <br />water from the underpasses. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: <br />The pump at the "C" Street underpass needs $5,800 in repairs. Since this pump pumps <br />rain water, it is imperative to repair the pump before the winter rains occur. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />Open bids can be sought, however, with the rainy season now upon us there is a eminent <br />possibility of the underpass flooding. This is an urgency matter that must be <br />approved now. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />None, sufficient funds for the repairs exist in the Street Division budget. <br />ENV I RONy1ENTAL IMPACT: <br />Without the pump, the "C" Street underpass is in danger of flooding and causing <br />damage to the underpass and surrounding properties. <br />RECChtAENDATION: <br />Staff recocmiends that Council approve Tri County to do the repair work to the "C" <br />Street underpass pump in the amount of $5,800. <br />/lj <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE - <br />Attachments: <br />Page t of ORIGINAL Item No._� <br />CENTRAL RECORDS <br />NO.- .......................... � <br />
