SOTELO, CITY MANAGER�OX <br />SUBJECT: ADOPT NEW JOB DESCRIPTION ECONOMIC/ <br />REDEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR <br />Date: 11-29-90 <br />BACKGROUND: September 16, 1989, Council reclassified the position <br />held by Brian Oulman to a Senior Planner. A job description was not <br />developed for this position. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: The City needs to recruit for the position <br />of Senior Planner. Before recruitment can begin, a job description <br />must be adopted. It is proposed that the Senior Planner <br />classification no longer be used for the Redevelopment Agency but <br />instead, the position be retitled to Economic/Redevelopment <br />Coordinator. It is anticipated that the new title will assist in <br />recruitment in that it is distinct to the Redevelopment Agency. <br />No salary change is recommended. <br />ALTERNATIVES: None. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: None. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is staff's recommendation that the City Council adopt the attached <br />job description and salary resolution amending the City's Pay and <br />Classification Plan to include Economic/Redevelopment Coordinator. <br />Report prepared by: Sandra Knight, Human Resource Manager <br />Attachments: <br />Job Description <br />Resolution No. <br />Page 1 of ORIGINAL.
