CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of FEBRUARY 20, 1990 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: RICH HOLMER, HUMAN SERVICES DIRECTOR r1 <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE PEPSI Date: FEBRUARY 13, 1990 <br />COLA CORPORATION AND AUTHORIZATION FOR HUMAN SERVICES <br />DIRECTOR TO SIGN ALL DOCUMENTS ON COUNCIL'S BEHALF <br />In August the City was notified that our application was one of sixteen selected from <br />over 100 entrants throughout Southern California in the "Let's Build A Pepsi PlayPark" <br />competition. As a recipient of this award, the Pepsi Cola Corporation will provide <br />Iron Mountain Forge playground equipment valued at $15,000 for installation at our <br />Westside Park. A small plaque will be placed next to the play area designating it as <br />a "Pepsi Playpark". It is the City's responsibility to handle all site preparations <br />and install the equipment. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is staff's recommendation that Council approve the Agreement between the City of <br />Colton and the Pepsi Cola Corporation and authorize the Human Services Director to <br />sign all necessary documents on their behalf. <br />The City Attorney has reviewed the contract as to form and content. <br />RH/bjw <br />City Manager's Concurrence Az�_ <br />Attachments: <br />Pepsi Playpark Agreement <br />3 <br />Page 1 of--- — <br />Item No. <br />
