When the Plan was adopted, the uses on the property were agricultural
in nature and at least 50 percent of the property was subject to severe flooding, .there-
fore the Specific Pian rezoned itto agricultural Apparently, the owners of the property
only recently became aware of the zone change which took place in 1987. As a result,
they have petitioned that this property be rezoned to its original M-1 zoning. Since the
Specific Plan has zoned all the property in the vicinity to M-2, staff suggested to the
applicant that a request for M-2 zoning would be proper.. The applicant is aware that
onivthe property which is out of the flood zone may be developed.
0
IC
U
I
E
r
c Mlculr iii lig t.Oom isslon held a public hearing to consider the request There was no
Public protest and the Planning Commission found in favor of the applicant
i
ANALYSIS:ICIIVAi. f
GENERAL.
