Zamora, E onomlc De Director <br />FROM: 5/27/92 <br />SUBJECT: Construction Cooperation Agreement BetweenDate: <br />Caltrans And City of Colton for Washington <br />Street/I-215 Interchange Project <br />BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION: <br />The "Construction Cooperation Agreement" details the construction <br />responsibilities of the State of California and the Redevelopment Agency <br />for the City of Colton for the improvements to the I-215 and Washington <br />Street Interchange. The "Cooperative Agreement" is a standard <br />requirement of the State Department of Transportation ("Caltrans") <br />whenever work is to be done within the State's right-of-way. <br />This agreement has been reviewed by Staff and adequately reflects the <br />intent of the Agency and the State regarding the proposed project. A <br />notice inviting bids for the improvements to the interchange is scheduled <br />to be published on or about August, 1992. Bids are scheduled to be <br />opened and a contract awarded by the end of October, 1992 with <br />construction anticipated to begin in December, 1992. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />FISCAL IMPACT• <br />Funds are budgeted and available for the construction of the proposed <br />improvements to the I-215 and Washington Street Interchange.
