A , 4 <br />Date: June 4, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for a Compact Utility Vehicle to Mills <br />Ford in the Amount of $16,493.23 and for a Pickup to <br />Fuller Ford in the Amount of $16,330.59 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Landscape Maintenance District had a vehicle approved in their <br />1991/92 budget. They asked for and had approved a compact utility <br />type vehicle. The Water Department had approved in their budget a <br />requirement for a one -ton pickup with a utility body. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On May 28, 1992, General Services advertised for sealed bids for the <br />above requirements. Bid opening was held at 2:30 P.M., June 8, 1992 <br />in the General Services office. Three bids were received on this <br />requirement. A Bid Analysis is attached showing the price and <br />delivery time of the bids received. The recommended vendors's <br />prices are underlined. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award for the compact utility type vehicle to <br />Mills Ford in the amount of $16,493.23 and bid award for the pickup <br />with utility body to Fuller Ford in the amount of $16,330.59. <br />Report prepared by: Kenneth L.
