Drews, Electricity Utility Director <br />S U BJ ECT : ��L ADOPTION OF UPDATID I+OAD FORECAST OF D a t e: <br />ELEGTRIC UTILITY FOR YEARS 1990-2010 <br />BACKGROUND <br />9/24/92 <br />The last load forecast for the Colton Electric Utility was completed in February, <br />1989. The load forecast projects Utility kilowatt demand and kilowatt-hour sales <br />for a twenty year period. Information from the load forecast is used to assess <br />energy resource acquisitions, plan demand-side management programs, analyze <br />Utility system requirements, and examine rate and revenue needs. The load <br />forecast is also transmitted to the California Energy Commission durinq the <br />States' Common Forecasting Methodology (CFM) proceedings. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />N/A <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />None. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Formally adopt the updated load forecast dated, September 15, 1992, for the <br />Colton Electric Utility as transmitted by R. W.
