JOHNSON <br />Personnel Director <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF UP TO SIX MONTH EXTENSION OF THE PROVISIONAL <br />APPOINTMENTS FOR ACCOUNTANTS BRENDA RIDENS AND THOMAS LO <br />BACKGROUND <br />The provisional appointments for Accountants Brenda Ridens and Thomas Lo will expire on February 2, 1994 <br />and February 3, 1994, respectively. Personnel Rule IX, Section 6, states, "The City Council may, by a four- <br />fifths vote, extend beyond six months, the period for provisional appointment. Andrea Daroca, Interim <br />Finance Director, has requested that Council extend the provisional appointment for six months to allow staff <br />time to recruit for the position.
