Lavin, Water Utilities Manager, <br />SUBJECT: Date: <br />Approval of Joint Powers Agreement with the <br />City of San Bernardino for the Operation and <br />Maintenance of the RIX Facility <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On November. 15, 1993 Council approved the City Manager to execute the required <br />documents and agreements for the RIX State Revolving Fund Loan. The State of <br />California is requesting the execution of a Joint Powers Agreement between the <br />Cities of Colton and San Bernardino for the Operation and Maintenance of the RIX <br />Facility. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The Council needs to ratify the Joint Powers Agreement and authorized the City <br />Manager to execute the agreement on behalf of the City. The City Attorneys for <br />Colton and San Bernardino have reviewed and approved the attached Joint Powers <br />Agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council ratify the Joint Powers Agreement and authorized <br />the City Manager to execute the agreement on behalf of the City of Colton. <br />r <br />LJ/lj <br />Attachments: <br />Page 3 of—__ <br />Item No.� <br />
