AGENDA COLTON CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED REGULAR <br />APRIL 24, 1996 6:00 P. M. <br />MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PROCEDURES FOR ADDRESSING CITY COUNCIL <br />Please obtain a card from the City Clerk and fill out, noting item number on <br />Agenda, or address City Council under oral communications portion of Agenda. <br />The City Council encourages public input on all City issues within the Rules of <br />Decorum as follows: <br />DECORUM AND ORDER <br />To help conduct the business of the City Council in an orderly fashion, the City <br />Council has adopted rules pertaining to Decorum and Order. The City Council will <br />strictly enforce these rules in order to allow full expression of ideas and opinions <br />by citizens, staff or legal counsel. The rules are summarized below: <br />Unauthorized remarks from the audience, stamping of feet, whistling, clapping, yelling, and <br />similar demonstrations shall NOT be permitted by the Presiding Officer. Any disrupting <br />demonstrations shall be cause for the Chief of Police to clear the Council Chambers or to <br />remove individual offenders upon direction of the Presiding Officer. <br />Any person who verbally attacks other individuals, groups, or City Officials, or otherwise <br />becomes boisterous while addressing the Council, or while attending the Council Meeting, <br />shall be ruled out of order by the Presiding Officer. If someone begins to make impertinent <br />or slanderous remarks, the Presiding Officer (or the City Manager or City Attorney at the <br />direction of the Presiding Officer) will instruct the person to follow the Council Rules. If the <br />person does not cease, the Presiding Officer will instruct the Chief of Police to remove the <br />person from the Council Chambers and bar him/her from further audience before the <br />Council. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />Any person may address the City Council at this time on any subject within the jurisdiction <br />of the City of Colton; however, any matter that requires action will be referred to Staff for a <br />report and action at a subsequent Council Meeting. <br />Persons desiring to submit paperwork to the City Council Members shall provide copy of any <br />paperwork to the City Clerk for the Official Record. <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />1 <br />Apf� '4"' -' !�j�b <br />
