IM. <br />MIEETINIG CALLED TO ORDER: <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PROCEDURES FOR ADDRESSEN-G CITY COUNCIL <br />Please obtain a card from the City Clerk and fill out, noting item number on Agenda, or address <br />0 01 <br />City Council under oral communications portion of Agenda. <br />The City Council encourages public input on all City issues within the Rules of Decorum as <br />follows: <br />DECOR UM AND ORDER <br />To help conduct the business of the City Council in an orderly fashion, the City Council ha -s <br />adopted r-ules pertaining to Decorum and Order. The City Council will strictiv enforce thes-t <br />rules in order to allow full expression of ideas and opinions by citizens. staff or legal counsel. <br />The rules are summarized below: <br />Unauthorized remarks from the audience, stamping of feet, whistling, clapping, yellina <br />D 0 0 _-) I <br />and similar demonstrations shalt NOT be permitted by the Presiding Officer. Any <br />0 <br />disrupting demonstrations shalt be cause for the Chief of Police to clear the Council <br />Chambers or to remove individual offenders upon direction of the Presiding Officer. <br />Any person who verbally attacks other individuals, groups, or City Officials, or <br />otherwise becomes boisterous while addressing the Council, or while attending, the <br />Council IMeeting, shall be ruled out of order by the Presiding Officer. If someone begins <br />to make impertinent or slanderous remarks, the Presiding Officer (or the City Mana,ger <br />or City Attomey at the direction of the Presiding Officer) will instruct the person to <br />follow the Council Rules. If the person does not cease, the Presiding Officer w -III <br />instruct the Chief of Police to remove the person from the Council Chambers and ba -r <br />him/her from further audience before the Council. <br />%.� J'IN 4 1996 <br />
