Request for Council Authorization to Purchase Vehicles. City Manager Huffaker said as instructed by Council on February 6 and February 19, 1974, Staff prepared specifications to go out to various automobile agencies for four compact automobiles. Mr. Huffaker continued that a check with the General Services Department of the State of Cali- fornia indicates if normal bidding procedures are followed, the City will be too late to take advantage of their price if it is low, because they cannot accept any orders after April 15. Mr. Huffaker concluded that because the State's price is usually considerably lower, Staff recom- mends that the four automobiles mentioned be purchased from the State Department of General Services for the amount of $2,906.68 each. On motion of Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unanimously passed, Resolu- tion No. 3422 was approved: RESOLUTION NO. 3422 EXECUTIVE SESSION: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO PURCHASE CERTAIN ITEMS. The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 8:24 p. m., on the request of Mayor Huntoon. The City Council reconvened at 9:34 p. m., all members present. Mayor Huntoon stated the Council had adjourned to Executive Session to discuss personnel matters. ADJOURNMENT: With no further business to come before the Council at this time, on motion of Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Spragins and unanimously passed, Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting at 9:35 p. m., to meet for an Adjourned Regular Meeting on Monday, April 8, 1974, at 7:30 p. m, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Approved this day of , 1974. ROLL CALL: Council members present were Hayes, Spragins, Rehrer, Gonzales, and Mayor Huntoon. Also present were City Manager Huffaker, City Attorney Hutton, and Director of Finance William McGuire.
