reconvened at 10:03 p. m., all members present. <br />Meet and Confer <br />City Manager Huffaker stated the Council members have before them a resolution indicating the salary and classi- <br />fication range for City employees, effective July 1, 1975. <br />Mr. Huffaker said those employees and members of employee associations shall receive an increase of $100, or 11.94% <br />whichever is the greater, per month. Mr. Huffaker then read a list of other management -classified employees who <br />shall receive an increase of 8% per month. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, to approve Resolution No. 3534. Also present were Director of Planning <br />and Special Services George Williams, City Attorney Hutton, and Deputy Clerk Veralrud. Absent was Councilman Rehrer. <br />Second Reading of 1975-76 Tax Rate Ordinances. <br />City Attorney Hutton introduced Ordinance No. 1480 for second reading, reading it as to number and title only: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1480 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION <br />OF TAXES FOR MUNICIPAL USES TO BE LEVIED AND COLLECTED BY THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO. <br />On motion of Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Hayes and passed, second reading was approved and Ordi- <br />nance No. 1480 adopted. <br />City Attorney Hutton introduced Ordinance No. 1481 for second reading, reading it as to number and title only: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1481 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON FIXING THE AMOUNT NECESSARY TO BE RAISED <br />BY TAXATION TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF COLTON FOR THE CURRENT YEAR OF <br />1975-76. <br />On motion of Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Gonzales and passed, second reading was approved and <br />Ordinance No. 1481 adopted. <br />City Attorney Hutton introduced Ordinance No. 1482 for second reading, reading it as to number and title only: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1482 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, FIXING THE 1975-76 TAX RATE FOR THE CITY <br />OF COLTON. <br />On motion of Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Hayes and passed, second reading was approved and Ordinance <br />No. 1482 adopted. <br />Mexican Fiestas Parade Route <br />Police Chief Phil Elliott reported to the Council a problem has arisen with regard to the Parade for the Mexican <br />Fiestas, to be held on Sunday, September 14, 1975. <br />Police Chief Elliott stated the time of 1:00 or 1:30 p. m., for the parade is not convenient for many of the entrants, <br />therefore, it is requested the time be changed back to 11:00 a. m., with a change in route as well. <br />Mr. Elliott advised the Parade will commence at Municipal Park, travel west to 10th Street, south to H Street, west <br />to La Cadena Drive, to the termination of the Parade. Mr. Elliott stated there are no problems involved with this <br />route and he would recommend that it be approved. <br />On motion of Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Gonzales and passed, Council approved the time of 11:00 a. m., <br />and the new route for the Mexican Fiestas Parade to be held on Sunday, September 14, 1975. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />There being no further business to come before the City Council at this time, on motion of Councilwoman Spragins, <br />seconded by Councilman Hayes and passed, Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting at P.
