Mr. Johnsen outlined several alternatives that the City might follow, and recommended that the City Council
<br />authorize the Mayor to inform the OMNITRANS Board of Directors at their meeting to be held April 6, 1977, the City
<br />of Colton is not in favor of the cash advance and request the Board direct the OMNITRANS staff to find and pursue
<br />other alternatives to alleviate their cash flow problems.
<br />Mr. Johnsen concluded the total amount needed is $1,748,000, and the City of Colton's share would be assessed
<br />somewhere between $78,000 and $82,000, to be paid by July 1.
<br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Mayor Beltran, to deny request of OMNITRANS for advance of funds as out-
<br />lined by Staff, and authorize Mayor to so advise the OMNITRANS Board of Directors. Vote was unanimous.
<br />Administrative Policy
<br />Use of City Vehicles
<br />Mr. Johnsen reported from his memorandum dated April 5, 1977, regarding an amendment to Administrative Policy
<br />No. V -A-1 "Use of City Vehicles", requesting authorization for the City Manager to take home his assigned City
<br />vehicle in lieu of a vehicle allowance.
<br />Moved by Mayor Beltran, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, approving amendment to Administrative Policy, V -A-1
<br />"Use of City Vehicles", as outlined by Staff, Vote was unanimous.
<br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
<br />Mr. Johnsen read a letter from employee, George Smith, requesting an extended leave of absence without pay,
<br />for three months, to July 10, 1977, as recommended by his doctor.
<br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve requested extension of leave of
<br />absence without pay on behalf of employee, George Smith. Vote was unanimous.
