CITY OF COLTON <br />CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />MAY 25, 1999 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Colton was held on the above date, at 6:40 P. Grimsby <br />City Clerk Barrera <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Second Session Budget Workshop for Fiscal Years 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 <br />City Manager Henry Garcia introduced Jim Ivie of Syrius Research, Inc., who gave a brief <br />analysis, via power -point and hand-out, of the City's performance Measures. He emphasized that <br />performance measures needed to be directional, quantitative, worthwhile, and relevant to be <br />weighed with input, output, efficiency, quality and outcomes. He spoke about the four -step <br />approach for measure development. Mr. Ivie critiqued certain City Departments' performance <br />measures and provided his recommendations. A question and answer period followed. After <br />discussion, City Council directed the City Manager to return in July with concrete <br />recommendations on how to implement a performance measurement plan and he agreed. <br />C.C. Adj.
