R-113-07 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R-48-07 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, Police Department has <br />determined that the City's current rate of compensation for the positions of Police Cadet <br />and Police Stenographer are lower than the prevailing rates paid by other cities for the <br />same positions; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that experienced and well-qualified Police <br />Cadets and Stenographers are necessary for the Police Department to function effectively; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the compensation for the positions <br />of Police Cadet and Police Stenographer by establishing new hourly rates which are <br />competitive with prevailing rates paid by other cities <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1 Resolution R-48-07 establishing a part time Pay and Classification for <br />the City of Colton, is hereby amended as follows: <br />SALARY <br />CLASSIFICATION RANGE HOURLY RATE <br />Police Cadet $11.00 <br />Police Stenographer $16.00 <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 21st day of August, 2007. <br />II ATTEST: <br />Carolina R.
