R-02-09 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ACCEPTING <br />THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS GRANT AND <br />AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2008 <br />AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2009. <br />WHEREAS, the State of California has approved funding for the Instructional <br />Materials Grant in the amount of $2,440 for the Colton Early Childhood Education <br />(ECE) Program, and; <br />WHEREAS, the budget for the City of Colton for the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 2008 and ending June 30, 2009 has been approved and adopted, and; <br />WHEREAS, the reallocation of appropriations between departmental activities <br />may be made by the City Manager, amendments (increases/decreases) to the budget <br />shall be by approval and resolution of the City Council. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Colton, San Bernardino <br />County, California authorizes the acceptance of the Instructional Materials Grant, and <br />the entering into local agreement number CIMS -8478. The City Manager is hereby <br />authorized to sign the applicable documents on behalf of the City to execute this <br />agreement. <br />SECTION 2: As a result of this agreement, it is necessary to make an <br />adjustment to the fiscal year 2008-09 budget. The allocations in Expenditure Account <br />206-7200-7205-2311 and in Revenue Account 206-5889 shall both be increased by <br />the grant amount of $2,440. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of January, 2009. <br />j <br />KELLY J.
