R-07-16 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />FORMALLY APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE CITY OF COLTON <br />HOMETOWN HEROES MILITARY BANNER PROGRAM POLICY AND <br />GUIDELINES. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton ("City") desires to formally approve a comprehensive <br />policy to effectively administer and manage the Hometown Heroes Military Banner Program; <br />iml <br />WHEREAS, there is a need to formalize the policies regarding the Hometown Heroes <br />Military Banner Program and guidelines; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to approve and adopt the City of Colton Hometown <br />Heroes Military Banner Program Policy and Guidelines in order to promote the community's <br />quality of life and enrich the aesthetic and visual appearance of City of Colton's <br />thoroughfares. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Colton does hereby find, determine and declare as follows: <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Colton hereby adopts the Hometown <br />Heroes Military Banner Program Policy and Guidelines attached hereto as Exhibit A to this <br />Resolution. <br />SECTION 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to take all actions <br />necessary to carry out the Hometown Heroes Military Banner Program Policy and Guidelines. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 2nd Day of February, 2016. <br />ATTEST: Mayor <br />CAROLINA R.
