Suchil <br /> <br />Council Members Absent <br />None <br /> <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br /> <br />• Child Abuse Prevention Month Proclamation <br />CM Suchil presented the Child Abuse Prevention Proclamation for April 2019; accepted by Doreen Ivery, <br />Mentoring Resource Specialist, Committee Member, San Bernardino County Children’s Network. <br /> <br />• Recognizing the departure of Deputy Fire Chief Dan Harker, the promotion of Captain Henry Perez to <br />Battalion Chief, Engineer Luke Granger to Captain, Engineer Ty Hutchison to Captain, and Firefighter <br />Paramedic Mike Loya to Engineer. <br />Fire Chief Tim McHargue acknowledged the departure of Deputy Fire Chief Harker who retired on March 30, <br />2019; and is now the Loma Linda Fire Chief. <br /> <br />Chief McHargue announced the following promotions: Captain Henry Perez to Battalion Chief on March 23, <br />2019; Engineer Luke Granger to Captain on April 1, 2019; Engineer Ty Hutchison to Captain, on May 4, 2019; <br />and Firefighter Paramedic Mike Loya to Engineer on March 23, 2019. <br /> <br />In addition, retired Garden Grove Fire Captain Allen Bone presented a plaque to the City of Colton; a <br />Certificate which honored the City of Colton Volunteer Allen George in 1921 for 4 years of service as a <br />volunteer; a picture of Allen George was mounted on the back of the plaque. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br /> <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF APRIL 2, <br />2019. <br /> <br />GIFT DISCLOSURES <br />Mayor Navarro asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest <br />pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br /> <br />AB 1234 ORAL REPORTS <br />Mayor Navarro asked the members present if there were any brief reports on meetings attended at the expense <br />of the City. (GC Section 53232.3(d). None disclosed. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br /> <br />• Appointment - Utilities Commission - Michele McKinney to District 1; <br />CM Toro presented the name of Michele McKinney for District 1 on the Utilities Commission.
