2019 APRIL 2 CC/CUA/CPFA/CHA MEETING 3 - <br /> <br />Appointment made with full consensus and support of Councilmembers present; no objection; so ratified. <br /> <br />*************************************************************************** <br /> <br />BUSINESS ITEMS <br />(1) Street Naming Policy - Approval of Amended Street Naming Policy, Approve and Adopt Resolution <br />No. R-15-19. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation <br />Director March Tomich presented for Council consideration and action; request to amend citywide policy for <br />the naming of new public and privates streets as outlined under Instructions and Approval Process for Street <br />Names. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None <br /> <br />Council Discussion <br />Discussion and discernment by councilmembers present with clarification provided by staff: Director Tomich; <br />and City Manager Smith. <br /> <br />Motion and Second CM Toro/González to approve and adopt Resolution R-15-19 with the following <br />modifications: (a) Change the language in the Street Naming Criteria section of the Policy (third bullet point) <br />from “living person” to “in memory of.” (b) Remove language pertaining to a Planning Commission Street <br />Naming Subcommittee and the public street naming nomination process and, instead, specify that the applicant <br />may submit street names in accordance with the Street Naming Criteria. (c) Include a provision in the Policy <br />that permits the City to name one street within any proposed subdivision. <br /> <br />Vote: Motion carried with MPT Cisneros voting NO. <br /> <br />*************************************************************************** <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following community members addressed the Council: Darlene Duron; Christine Irish-Ré; and Larry Rivas. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Mayor Navarro presents the Consent Calendar Items 2 through 10. <br /> <br />Councilmembers present selected items for discussion and clarification by staff: CM Suchil, Item 4 and Item 5. <br /> <br />Motion and Second by CM González/Suchil to approve the consent calendar Items 2 through 10. <br />Vote: Unanimous <br /> <br />(2) Minutes - Approval of Minutes for the City Council Regular Meeting Held on March 19, 2019, on file in <br />the Office of the City Clerk. <br /> <br />(3) Warrants - Approve replacement checks 177057 to 177062 dated 03/12/2019 and totaling $694.97; <br />voucher numbers 177063 to 177216 dated 03/14/2019 and totaling $1,611,879.14; replacement check <br />177217 for $192.00; voucher numbers 177218 to 177340 dated 03/21/2019 and totaling $792,370.29 <br />and a payroll disbursement listing for the period 01/26/2019 to 02/08/2019 and totaling $824,705.29. <br />
