— Rates — flowchart <br />— Rate Comparison — flowchart <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following community members addressed the Council: Ammom Bertrand; John Medina; <br />Jeff Snow; Chetay Catalano; Andre Griggs; and Archie Washington. <br />Discussion and dialogue between Councilmember's and Members of the Negotiation Team (both <br />City of Colton staff and Republic Services Representatives.). <br />The areas of concern included: CPI Standard and Urban Standards; ability to open the Landfill <br />with the County (reopen negotiations); increase traffic and damage to road as a result of opening <br />Colton Landfill; Base Rate vs. Fully Loaded. <br />In conclusion and with consensus of Council staff will return in four weeks and address the <br />following: <br />— Review Five year comparison of CPI reference in Draft Contract vs. CPI currently being used. <br />— Contingency plan for trash removal. <br />— Low income assistance program. <br />— Ten Year contract with a five year re -opener clause. <br />— Quality: expanding sharps program, port -a -potties, city facility e -waste disposal, and city <br />facility document shredding. <br />— Obtain additional proposals for tree trimming and street sweeping services. <br />— Letter from San Bernardino County regarding capacity/closure at Colton Landfill. <br />— Update comparison chart versus other cities, with who their hauler is. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />At 7:42 p.m. Mayor DeLaRosa adjourned the Special Meeting. <br />9W4G L <br />Carolina R.
