PUBLIC HEARING <br />(8) Annual Weed Abatement <br />TIME AND PLACE FIXED TO CONSIDER A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE <br />2012 ANNUAL WEED ABATEMENT PROGRAM. <br />Mayor announced the Public Hearing Open. <br />Mayor Zamora opened Public Comment. There were no public comments regarding this item <br />and Mayor Zamora then closed the Public Hearing. <br />Fire Chief Tim McHargue provided information and answered questions from Council regarding <br />this item. <br />Motion and second by CM Oliva/CM Yzaguirre, to move forward with staff recommendation to <br />conduct and close the public hearing and directed the Fire Chief or his designee to abate the <br />stated nuisance by having the weeds, rubbish, refuse or dirt removed. Motion carried with CM <br />Bennett being absent. <br />BUSINESS ITEMS <br />None. <br />CITY COUNCIL DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />None. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS <br />CM Foster provided an update on an emergency situation at the Arrowhead Regional Medical <br />Center. He thanked Fire Chief Tim McHargue, the Fire Department and Public Works Director <br />Amer Jakher and his staff for their participation in the emergency response situation. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />At 7:13 p.m., Mayor Sarah Zamora adjourned the Regular Meeting in memory of Thelma <br />Blanche Doak, a 30 -year resident who passed away on March 1, 2012 and was 103 years old and <br />Frank D'Arcy. <br />Eileen C.
