Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Boards & Commissions <br />Parks & Recreation Commission <br />Mayor Huntoon read his memorandum regarding appointments to the Parks and Recrea- <br />tion Commission for three year terms. Mayor Huntoon advised that two of the <br />three people recommended need to be nominated to serve on this Commission. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, approving appointments <br />of Jerry Koester and Sal Rodriguez to the Parks and Recreation Coimission. Unani- <br />mous vote. <br />Resolution of Congratulations <br />Mayor Huntoon read in full a Resolution of Congratulations for Jack H. Brown and <br />Stater Bros. Markets, on their 50th anniversary in business. The Resolution was <br />accepted by Mr. Jack Brown fran Stater Bros. <br />1WIMP atwoIP\ IkiA&&`F <br />Appeals <br />Res. No. 4698 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no <br />protests or objections had been received. Mrs. Ramos referred to a letter of <br />support from Gfeller Development Company. <br />Planning Director Aguilera reported on December 10, 1985, the Planning Coimiission <br />held a public hearing to consider an application for a Conditional Use Permit re- <br />quested by Ludwig Engineering for Edward Hill to construct a 117 -unit mobile hone <br />park on the northeast corner of San Bernardino and Pepper Avenues, which would <br />feature large lots with two -car garages and mobile hones which look like single-family <br />hones, similar to those located in the Cooley Ranch. <br />Mr. Aguilera advised that Staff recommended ?nproval of the proposed development, <br />however, adjacent property owner, Wilford Sklar, having app=-_imately five -1cr' <br />of land to the south of the project, spoke in opposition stating he proposes'_ to <br />build apartments on his site and a single-family mobile home park would be detri- <br />JAN 7 1986 <br />
