R-23-87. <br />(19) Permits/Fees <br />Request from Inland Counties Family Learning Center for Permit <br />to hold benefit Carnival, March 13 - 22, 1987, and waiver of <br />Fees. (Removed from the Consent Calendar). <br />(20) Claims <br />Leticia Salsberry vs. City of Colton. Recommend denial. <br />(21) Zoning <br />Set for Public Hearing, Tuesday, March 17, 1987, Zone Amend- <br />ment, Index No. A-3-86, Gordon & Amanda Farren. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve <br />the Consent Calendar, with deletion of Item No. 19. Unanimous vote. <br />Permits/Fees <br />Community Development Director Aguilera reported after meeting with <br />Larry Davis, of Carnival Times, they were able to come to agreement <br />with regard to most of the conditions being recommended by Staff, <br />with changes in Item No. 5 - providing 2 security guards up to 5:00 <br />p.m., and additional guards thereafter - Item No. 6 - extending the <br />closing time an additional hour - and deletion of Item No. 10. Mr. <br />Aguilera said it had been suggested to Mr. Davis, with regard to Item <br />No. 10, that letters be written to the surrounding property owners <br />concerning the carnival being held on weekends. <br />Mr. Aguilera concluded Staff recommends approval of the request from <br />Inland Counties Family Learning Center and Carnival Times to hold a <br />benefit Carnival, March 13 through 22, 1987, and waive fees. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve <br />Staff's recommendation as outlined. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />File Index TA -2-86 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Continuance of the Public Hearing. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting Continuance and <br />reported that no protests or objections had been received. <br />City Manager Benest advised that Staff was requesting this Public <br />Hearing, to consider Text Amendments to Chapter 18 of the Zoning <br />Ordinance and Colton Municipal Code, be continued to the next regular <br />Council Meeting, March 17, 1987, because additional information has <br />3 <br />
