Public Works Director John Hutton reported on the vacation of a bike <br />path, consisting of 12 feet, on Cooley Drive. Mr. Hutton advised that <br />all the notices and advertisements were duly posted. <br />Mr. Hutton concluded at the conclusion of the public hearing, if there <br />are no significant protests, Staff would recommend adoption of Resolu- <br />tion No. R-152-87, ordering the vacation of the bike path on Cooley <br />Drive. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to close <br />the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-152-87. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO <br />R-152-87 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF 12.00 <br />FEET NORTH OF COOLEY DRIVE (BIKE PATH). <br />Personnel <br />Res. No. R-153-87 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Personnel Officer Benest submitted the Affidavit of Posting and re- <br />ported that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Personnel Officer Benest reported on an amendment to the City's Pay <br />and Classification Plan to include the position of Economic Develop- <br />ment Director. Mr. Benest outlined the duties and responsibilities <br />of the position, advising the salary is being set at Schedule 8, <br />Range 3, which is comparable with other members of the Executive Unit. <br />The salary will be paid by the Redevelopment Agency. <br />Mr. Benest concluded Staff recommends adoption of the Job Description <br />and Resolution No. R-153-87 for the position of Economic Development <br />Director. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to close <br />the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Rerher, to approve <br />Job Description and RESOLUTION NO. R-153-87 for Economic Development <br />Director.
