Public Works Director John Hutton reported on the vacation of a bike path, consisting of 12 feet, on Cooley Drive. Mr. Hutton advised that all the notices and advertisements were duly posted. Mr. Hutton concluded at the conclusion of the public hearing, if there are no significant protests, Staff would recommend adoption of Resolu- tion No. R-152-87, ordering the vacation of the bike path on Cooley Drive. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to close the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve RESOLUTION NO. R-152-87. Unanimous vote. RESOLUTION NO R-152-87 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF 12.00 FEET NORTH OF COOLEY DRIVE (BIKE PATH). Personnel Res. No. R-153-87 Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. Personnel Officer Benest submitted the Affidavit of Posting and re- ported that no protests or objections had been received. Personnel Officer Benest reported on an amendment to the City's Pay and Classification Plan to include the position of Economic Develop- ment Director. Mr. Benest outlined the duties and responsibilities of the position, advising the salary is being set at Schedule 8, Range 3, which is comparable with other members of the Executive Unit. The salary will be paid by the Redevelopment Agency. Mr. Benest concluded Staff recommends adoption of the Job Description and Resolution No. R-153-87 for the position of Economic Development Director.
