Director of Public Works John Hutton stated the public hearing concerns the inclusion of Annexation No. 5 to Colton's Landscaping & Lighting Maintenance District No. 1, and had been continued in order to allow Presley of Southern California time to complete the requirements set by Engineering before the City accepted the Tracts into the Landscap- ing & Lighting Maintenance District, and Presley has now completed those requirements. All property owners have been notified of the public hearing as required by Resolution No. R-146-86. Mr. Hutton concluded Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. R-12- 87, if there are no protests or objections heard. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. Mr. John Longfield, 1809 Cottonwood St., Colton, asked the location of the District, and if it was near the development where he lived. Mr. Hutton described the location, stating it was not near the develop- ment where Mr. Longfield lived. Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, the Public Hearing was terminated. Unanimous vote. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve Resolution No. R-12-87. Vote was unanimous. RESOLUTION NO. Options for Mobilehome Park Rent Review Director of Community Development Jaime Aguilera reported from his memorandum regarding options for mobilehome park rent review, stating that although Proposition N, the rent stabilization initiative, was defeated in the November election, the alleged problem continues to exist at the Lake Cadena Mobilehome Park. Staff was instructed to in- vestigate different options for reviewing or regulating rents at that Park, and, consequently, contacted several cities and reviewed differ- ent alternatives which are currently used throughout Southern California. Mr. Aguilera continued Staff also held a meeting with the park owners, and a second meeting was scheduled with the park owners and residents, however, the owners were unable to attend. Mr. Aguilera advised that another meeting has been scheduled for Friday, January 23, 1987. C9
